If you’ve played recent Marvel games, you’ll recognize many voices in Marvel Rivals. Take Yuri Lowenthal as Spider-Man – he’s the same voice you heard in the recent Spider-Man games from Insomniac. When you’re swinging through maps and trading quips with enemies, that familiar friendly neighborhood feel comes through clearly in his performance.
Steve Blum takes on two very different characters: Wolverine and Venom. You might remember his gravelly Wolverine voice from various Marvel animations and games. In Marvel Rivals, he switches effortlessly between Wolverine’s gruff one-liners and Venom’s more sinister dialogue. Speaking of versatility, Troy Baker brings Loki to life once again. Every time Loki appears in a match, you can hear that perfect balance of smugness and charm in Baker’s delivery.
Laura Bailey steps back into Black Widow’s shoes, and if you’ve played other Marvel games, you’ll instantly recognize her voice. She gives Black Widow that perfect mix of cool professionalism during tactical moments and fierce intensity during combat.
The game features several voice acting veterans you’ll probably recognize from other major titles. When Rocket Raccoon cracks wise, that’s Nolan North – the same actor who brought Nathan Drake to life in the Uncharted series. Josh Keaton voices Iron Man, adding another superhero role to his impressive resume.
Fred Tatasciore returns as the Hulk, a role he’s played so many times it’s hard to imagine anyone else doing it. When you hear Hulk roar during his ultimate ability or mutter “puny enemy” after a takedown, you’re hearing an actor who truly knows the character inside and out.
This talented cast helps bring the Marvel universe to life in Marvel Rivals, making each character feel unique and true to their comic book origins. Whether you’re playing as the wise-cracking Spider-Man or the thunderous Thor, you’ll hear quality voice work that adds to the gaming experience.
