Marvel Rivals is getting ready for Season 1, which brings the story of Dracula‘s takeover of New York and introduces the Fantastic Four to the game. The developers need some time to add all this new content, so they’re taking the servers offline for maintenance.

This isn’t just a regular update – they’re adding new maps, implementing major balance changes for several heroes, and setting up the new Battle Pass system that has twice as much content as Season 0.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 Maintenance Schedule

The game servers will be offline for maintenance starting January 9 at 11 PM PST until January 10 at 1:10 AM PST. During this period, you won’t be able to access the game as the team implements new features and balance changes for Season 1.

When is Marvel Rivals Season 1 Starting?

Season 1 kicks off right after the maintenance ends on January 10 at 1:10 AM PST. The season will run for three months, split into two parts of about six to seven weeks each. This gives you plenty of time to explore the new content and work your way through the Battle Pass.

When you log in after maintenance, you’ll find several major updates waiting for you:

• Two members of the Fantastic Four are available immediately: Mister Fantastic and Invisible Girl
• A new Battle Pass with double the content compared to Season 0, priced at 990 Lattice
• Balance changes for multiple heroes, with significant updates to Hela, Hawkeye, Jeff The Land Shark, Captain America, Venom, Wolverine, Storm, and Cloak & Dagger
• A new competitive rank called Celestial, sitting between Grandmaster and Eternity
