Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 has two different quest lines running right now – the Week 1 challenges and the Jade & the Mask story quests. If you want to level up your battle pass quickly, doing both is your best bet.
These weekly quests focus on the new season’s features like Oni masks and Sprites, mixed with some basic combat challenges. Getting them done will give you a good amount of XP to start leveling your battle pass.
You’ll need to complete five different quests this week. None of them are particularly hard, but a couple might take extra time. Here’s what you need to do:
The trick with this quest is you can only collect one mask per match, so you’ll need at least three matches to finish it. If you’ve unlocked the expertise, just buy the mask from Daigo. You can even look for Demon icons on the map as and take them down as they usually drop these masks as well.
Otherwise, look for them as floor loot or in chests. The Void Oni Mask lets you teleport up to 100 meters – pretty useful when you need to get away fast.
Earth Sprites are harder to find than other sprites. They spawn randomly in grassy and forested areas of the map. Once you spot one, give any weapon to and the quest is done. You might want to give it a decent weapon though – Earth Sprites often give good items in return.
You need three headshot eliminations where the final shot hits the head. Assault rifles work fine if you take your time to aim. Since there are no snipers in this season you will need to be extra skilled. Pro tip: look for players who are standing still while looting or healing.
Finding 15 Epic (purple) or better weapons sounds like a lot, but it’s not too bad. Hit up the big landmarks – they usually have more rare chests. Supply drops are great too. One tip we can give you is that visit the Mythic Vault in Nightshift Forest – there you will find a lot of Epic weapons with ease or you can even visit the Giant turtle as it has an elemental chest that usually offer high tier loot.
You can use your pickaxe or find a Typhoon Blade. The Blade works a lot better, but the pickaxe is fine if that’s all you have. Just hitting opponents counts – you don’t need to eliminate them. Early game is best for this when everyone’s still looking for weapons.
These quests aren’t too complicated, and you can probably finish most of them just by playing normally. Just remember the Oni mask quest needs three separate matches. Take your time with these – you’ve got the whole week to get them done.
