Fortnite Jade & the Mask Story Quests Guide
The Jade & the Mask questline continues right where Kendo’s Calling left off. To complete this part of the story, you’ll need to track down Jade, who’s trapped in the spirit realm, and figure out what Daigo’s been up to with his dark magic experiments.
Don’t worry – you can knock out all these quests in a single match if you know where to go.
All Quests in Jade & the Mask Storyline
The questline consists of six main quests, each rewarding you with 25,000 XP. Here’s what you need to do:
- Speak to Kendo about Daigo’s use of dark magic
- Look into the Portal to find Jade
- Locate and investigate Daigo’s underground Hidden Workshop
- Collect a Fire Oni Mask or Void Oni Mask
- Decide to use the Mask or rid yourself of it
- Return to Kendo
How to Complete Each Quest in Jade & the Mask Story Quest?
Speaking with Kendo
Head to the spot between Nightshift Forest and Twinkle Terrace. You’ll find Kendo by the portal, still dealing with demons. Just walk up and talk to him – he’ll tell you Jade disappeared while looking into the demon situation, and he thinks his brother Daigo might know something about it.
Looking into the Portal
The portal’s right there next to Kendo. It’ll push you back if you get too close, so you need to find the right distance where you can interact with it without getting knocked away. When you get it right, you’ll see Jade trapped inside, saying something about a shard before disappearing again.
Finding Daigo’s Workshop
Your next stop is Masked Meadows. Look for purple smoke coming out of underground tunnels on the east side. The easiest entrance is the one with the most obvious purple smoke trail – it’ll lead you straight to where you need to go.
Investigating the Workshop
Once you’re in the tunnels, walk until you hit a four-way split. Take the right path and keep an eye out for white exclamation marks. These mark the spots you need to check out to learn more about what Daigo’s been doing down here.
Getting an Oni Mask
The easiest way to get a mask is to grab the one in the workshop – check near the spirit cage. If someone’s already taken it, you can find these masks in regular chests or as floor loot around the map. You’ve got two options: Fire Oni Mask for throwing fireballs, or Void Oni Mask for teleporting around.
Making Your Choice
This part’s simple – either use the mask or drop it. Both count for completing the quest. The Fire Oni Mask is good if you want to fight, while the Void Oni Mask lets you move around quickly with its 100-meter teleport.
Final Talk with Kendo
Go back to Kendo one more time. He’ll talk about how strange it is that Jade got into the Spirit Realm in the first place. After this chat, you’re done with this questline, and you’ll be ready for the next story chapter, Splinters of Possibility, coming in January 2025.
You have until December ends to finish these quests. Take your time – there’s no rush, and each conversation adds more details to what’s happening on the island. Just remember that you can do all of this in one match if you plan your route right.
