Fortnite: How to Get Solunar Key (Location and Use)

If you’re looking to get your hands on some of the best loot in Fortnite Chapter 6, you’ll want to know about the Solunar Key. This special key opens up a Mythic vault in Nightshift Forest that’s packed with valuable items.

How to Get the Solunar Key in Fortnite

Getting the Solunar Key involves a simple trade with an NPC named Bushranger, but there’s a catch – you need to bring them a specific item. First, head to Nightshift Forest where you can find Bushranger hanging out. The tricky part about Bushranger is – that he can spawn at one of three different places in the forest, but don’t worry as we have attached a map below highlighting all three possible spots where you can find Bushranger.

When you find Bushranger, you’ll notice they have a “Show Item” option when you talk to them. This is where most players get stuck because Bushranger doesn’t tell you what item they want. The secret is that they’re looking for a Sprite – those cute creatures you can find around the map.

To get a Sprite, look for a Sprite Shrine in the area. These shrines will mark nearby Sprites on your map, making them much easier to find. Once you spot a Sprite, just walk up to it and use the “Pick Up” option. With the Sprite in hand, go back to Bushranger and use the “Show Item” option. They’ll be happy to trade you the Solunar Key for your Sprite.

How to Use the Solunar Key in Fortnite

Once you have the Solunar Key, using it is straightforward. Head to the center of Nightshift Forest and look for the main temple. The vault door is located on the east side of the temple’s entrance.

Infront of the main building you will notice some stairs going down – just walk down those stairs and you will reach the Mythic Vault. After reaching the wall, equip your Solunar key and interact with the door of the Wall (E on PC) and it will open.

What’s Inside the Mythic Vault

The Nightshift Forest vault is worth the effort of getting the key as it is one of the best spots this season to loot. Inside, you’ll find a lot of high-quality loot that can give you a serious advantage in your matches. Here’s what you can expect to find:

• 4 or more Rare Chests
• 2 Elemental Chests
• 1 Safe
• Typhoon Blade Stand
• Multiple regular and rare ammo boxes
• Various high-rarity weapons and items

The combination of Rare and Elemental Chests means you’re almost guaranteed to walk out with some powerful weapons and items.
