Finding NPCs in Fortnite can give you a serious advantage, whether you need healing, weapons, or backup. Chapter 6 Season 1 has placed 19 NPCs across the map, and each one offers something different. Here’s exactly where to find them and what they can do for you.
Note: We updated this article on December 21 after the Winterfest Update and added 8 new NPC named: Sgt. Winter, Santa Dogg, Santa Suit Mariah, Santa Suit Shaq, Noir, Ryuji, Durrr Taisho, and Doughberman.
Most NPCs stay in fixed spots on the map, which makes them easy to find once you know where to look. The only exception is Bushranger, who moves around Nightshift Forest. You can always check your Character tab to see exactly where each NPC is during your match.
Here are all the NPCs you can find:
Found wandering around the western part of Nightshift Forest, usually near a fox statue. Look for this walking bush – he’s hard to miss. You can buy a Holo Twister Assault Rifle for 200 Gold or Shield Potions for 50 Gold. His location changes within the forest each match, so keep an eye on your in-game character menu to track him down. You can also get a Mythic Vault key from him which will give you access to a Vault.
Head to the area northwest of Shining Span bridge, and you’ll find Cinder in a small building next to the water. She’s a great ally to have, offering Heavy Specialist services for 250 Gold Bars. You can also grab a Twinfire Assault Shotgun from her for 200 Gold.
Look for Helsie walking around the northern part of Canyon Crossing. She’s usually near some chairs. As a medic, she’s incredibly useful – you can recruit her for 250 Gold Bars or get patched up for 100 Gold. She also sells the Veiled Precision SMG for 200 Gold.
You’ll find Jade in the northern part of Nightshift Forest, near the water. She offers healing services (Patch Up) for 100 Gold Bars and sells the Veiled Precision SMG for 200 Gold. She’s usually hanging out with Kendo, so if you find one, you’ll find the other.
Located inside a house in Masked Meadows, Daigo is one of the easier NPCs to find. Challenge him to a duel for free loot, or buy a Fury Assault Rifle for 200 Gold. The duel can be tough but worth it for the rewards.
Head to Lost Lake, east of Nightshift Forest, to find Mizuki. She’s a Supply Specialist who can join your team for 250 Gold Bars. You can also buy a Sentinel Pump Shotgun or Twister Assault Rifle from her, both for 200 Gold each.
Find Nyanja at the southern end of Canyon Crossing. They’re selling some solid weapons, including the Twinfire Auto Shotgun for 200 Gold and Shockwave Grenades for 100 Gold.
Located with Jade in the northern part of Nightshift Forest, Kendo sells the powerful Oni Shotgun for 200 Gold. If you need a quick escape, grab a Rift To Go from him for 300 Gold Bars.
You’ll find Hope inside a house at Hopeful Heights, sharing space with Vengeance Jones. She sells the Fury Assault Rifle and Rift To Go, and you can earn a Legendary Fury Assault Rifle by completing her Expertise Quests.
Also in Hopeful Heights, Jones is in the same house as Shadow Blade Hope. Complete his Expertise Quests to earn a Legendary Surgefire SMG, or buy the regular version for 200 Gold.
Look for Vi in the colorful flower fields between Seaport City and Hopeful Heights. She can join your team as a Scout Specialist for 250 Gold Bars and sells both the Surgefire SMG and Shockwave Grenades.
Look for Sgt. Winter near a plane crash site south of Foxy Floodgate. He is selling the Holo Twister Assault Rifle for 300 Gold Bars and Blizzard Grenades for 50 Gold Bars.
Head to the center of Seaport City and look for a building with Noir inside. You can get a Suppressed Pistol for 100 Gold Bars or stock up on Chug Splash for 120 Gold Bars.
You’ll find Santa Dogg inside Crackshot’s Cabin, south of Brutal Boxcars. He sells the Sentinel Pump Shotgun for 300 Gold Bars and can activate Prop Disguise for 50 Gold Bars.
Find them on the basketball court at Masked Meadows. Right now he is using a default female skin, but don’t let that stop you from getting what you need. They offer Patch Up for 100 Gold Bars, Rift To Go for 300 Gold Bars, and Shockwave Grenades for 100 Gold Bars.
Head to the mountain southeast of Brutal Boxcars – it’s where the Ice Block used to be. You can get Patch Up for 100 Gold Bars or Holiday Presents for 400 Gold Bars. Here’s a tip: use the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” Emote in front of her to get a mythic version of Holiday Presents.
Head to the Durrr Sushi Shop in Seaport City to find this NPC. He has a solid selection: get a Surgefire SMG for 200 Gold Bars, a Rift To Go for 300 Gold Bars, or a Med Kit for 120 Gold Bars if you need healing.
You’ll find Doughberman near Twinkle Terrace’s entrance when coming from Nightshift Forest. Watch out – he is usually fighting some Demon Grunts when you arrive. He sells the Holo Twister Assault Rifle for 200 Gold Bars.
After the v33.10 update, you can find Ryuji riding on top of the Great Turtle. The turtle moves to different spots each match, so check your map to find their current location.
Getting some extra help in Fortnite can make a big difference in your matches. All hired NPCs cost 250 Gold Bars – not cheap, but they can be worth it for the advantages they provide. Here are all the NPCs you can hire and what makes each one useful:
