The giant footsteps of Godzilla have been shaking up Fortnite matches for the past few weeks but his time in Fortnite is coming to an end. The massive Kaiju transformation that has been terrorizing the island will leave the game on January 31, 2025

The Godzilla transformation has been a major part of Chapter 6 Season 1’s Japanese mythology theme. After starting with a 20% spawn rate, Epic Games increased it to appear in every match and later decreased it back to 60%, giving all players the chance to experience the Kaiju form. Also we have attached the Godzilla spawn map below to help you increase your chances of becoming this monster.

While the transformation is leaving, you can still get your hands on the Godzilla Battle Pass skin. This means you’ll be able to play as a regular-sized version of the character even after the transformation feature is removed. The skin will remain available through the Battle Pass system until the end of the current season.

What’s Next?

After January 31, Fortnite will return to its standard gameplay format. This change comes as we approach the end of the current season, suggesting Epic Games wants to give players time to enjoy the base game mechanics before any potential new season changes.

If you want to try out the Godzilla transformation before it’s gone, you have until January 31 to experience it. The transformation currently appears nearly in every match, so you won’t have trouble finding opportunities to play as the famous monster. Just remember that while the transformation is leaving, your Godzilla skin from the Battle Pass will stick around in your locker.
