The new Godzilla skin in Fortnite Chapter 6 is coming in January, and there’s quite a bit of excitement around it. Since there’s been some confusion about how to get it, let’s clear everything up.

The skin isn’t available just yet, but here’s exactly when you can get it and what you need to do to add it to your locker.

How to Unlock Godzilla Skins in Fortnite?

First things first – you’ll need the Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass. It costs 1,000 V-Bucks and you can get it from the Passes screen in the main menu. Once you’re in the Battle Pass menu, you’ll notice a Godzilla rewards page, but don’t worry if you can’t access it yet – that’s normal.

The Godzilla skin unlocks on January 17, 2024, at 9 AM ET. When that date comes around, you’ll get access to two new Battle Pass pages filled with Godzilla-themed items. Both skins are based on the recent “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”. One of them has Pink scales on the back but in one of them it’s glowing and in one it’s not.

After January 17, you’ll get a set of special quests. These work just like your regular Battle Pass quests – complete them to unlock Godzilla and the other items on those pages. If you want to simplify things, an Auto Claim option in the Battle Pass menu will automatically give you the rewards as you finish the quests. Also, if you love skins out of movie collaborations you should definitely check out the Baymax skins in Fortnite Chapter 6.

You’re getting two different looks of the same Godzilla from the new movie “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”:

The regular version is just Godzilla as you’d expect – pink dark scales, normal eyes, nothing too flashy. Then there’s the enraged version, where pink energy runs through his scales and his eyes glow. It’s the same Godzilla, just powered up and ready for a fight.

Don’t worry about rushing – you’ve got until February 21, 2025, to finish everything. You can earn XP in any Fortnite mode you like, whether it’s Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, or something else.

Just make sure you’ve got your Battle Pass ready before January 17, and you’ll be all set to unlock both versions of Godzilla when they arrive. Take your time with the quests – you’ll have over a month to get everything done.
