Marvel Rivals is expanding its roster when Season 1 launches and Sue Storm is coming with an interesting alternate look. The Malice Skin takes Invisible Woman in a darker direction, showing off a version of the character from a notable Fantastic Four storyline.
If you’re planning to pick up this new hero when she debuts on January 10th, here’s what you need to know about getting her Malice costume right from launch day.
The Malice skin releases alongside Invisible Woman on January 10th, 2025, when Season 1: Eternal Night Falls begins. The update goes live at 1 AM PST (4 AM EDT), and you can get the skin as soon as the servers are up. But that’s not the only skin releasing with the Season 1 launch – Mister Fantastic is also getting a skin named “Maker”.
Since this is a major update launching a new season, you might want to set aside some extra time to download and install the patch before jumping in.
Getting the Malice skin is straightforward once Marvel Rivals Season 1 launches. Head to the in-game store, navigate to the character skins section and look under Invisible Woman’s cosmetics.
The skin will be available as a premium purchase using the game’s premium currency. The exact price for Malice skin hasn’t been announced yet, but do not worry – we will update this post as soon as the skins makes it in-game.
The Malice costume comes from an interesting chapter in Fantastic Four history. In the comics, this version of Sue Storm appears when she falls under the influence of Psycho-Man’s emotional control device.
The device turned her against her teammates, leading to a darker version of the usually protective hero. The skin captures this moment, showing what happens when one of Marvel’s most steadfast heroes takes an unexpected turn. This isn’t just a simple recolor – it’s a complete visual reimagining that reflects this pivotal storyline from the comics.
While you’re getting your new Malice skin, Season 1 brings other new content too. You’ll get access to new maps like the Sanctum Sanctorum and Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown. There’s also a new game mode called Doom Match where 8 to 12 players compete in teams.
Remember to log in early on January 10th if you want to be among the first players to get the Malice skin. The game update usually takes a little time to download, so plan ahead if you want to grab the skin right when the store updates.
