The Godzilla Medallion is one of the most powerful items you can get in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. This special medallion gives you amazing mobility advantages and access to a unique weapon. Getting your hands on it takes some skill and strategy, but the rewards are worth the effort.
Here’s everything you need to know about finding, obtaining, and using the Godzilla Medallion.
The Godzilla Medallion doesn’t spawn in regular loot locations. Instead, it only becomes available during matches where a Godzilla portal appears on the map.
These portals spawn randomly, and not every match will have one. When a portal does appear, one player can transform into Godzilla, setting up the opportunity for others to earn the medallion.
To get the Godzilla Medallion, you need to deal the most damage to Godzilla during the match. This means you’re competing against every other player while also trying to survive Godzilla’s attacks. The best strategy is to target Godzilla’s weak spots, which appear as glowing areas on its body. These spots take extra damage, helping you rack up damage faster than other players.
Using the Rail Gun is particularly effective for this task. The weapon has been unvaulted specifically for fighting Godzilla, and its high damage output makes it perfect for hitting those weak spots. Don’t forget to use the Shield Bubble for protection when Godzilla targets you with its Heat Ray or Stomp Attack.
When you damage Godzilla, it drops Fragments that give 40 Health and 3 dash charges when collected. Make sure to grab these to stay alive during the fight. Remember that other players will also be trying to collect these Fragments, so be ready for both PvE and PvP combat.
Once you’ve dealt the most damage and earned the medallion, it automatically gives you access to two powerful abilities:
Keep in mind that if you get eliminated, you’ll drop the medallion and another player can pick it up. Since Godzilla portals don’t appear in every match, losing the medallion can be especially frustrating. Play strategically and use your dash charges both for aggressive plays and quick escapes when needed.
The Godzilla Medallion will be available until February 21, 2025, when Chapter 6 Season 1 ends. Drop into matches, look for those portals, and get ready to take down a titan to claim this powerful reward for yourself.
