Reed Richards stretches into Marvel Rivals with Season 1, and you’ll have a chance to play as his most controversial version right from the start. The Maker skin isn’t just another costume swap – it turns Marvel’s stretchy scientist into the cold, calculating villain from the Ultimate Universe.
Here’s the full breakdown on how to get Mr Fantastic Maker Skin and when it is coming to Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls kicks off on January 10th, 2025, bringing The Maker skin to the game’s store alongside Sue Storm’s Malice costume. Both skins launch at 1 AM PST (4 AM EDT), giving you a chance to grab alternate looks for both Fantastic Four members on day one.
The timing matches up nicely – you can try out Reed’s darker persona while Sue shows off her own villainous transformation. Keep in mind that since this is a season launch update, the download might take a little extra time before you can access the store.
Once the update finishes follow the steps below to get the Mr Fantastic Maker skin:
The exact price for the skin hasn’t been made isn’t public yet, but we will update this section once the outfit goes live.
This skin pulls from one of the most unexpected turns in Marvel’s Ultimate Universe. While our regular Reed Richards uses his genius to protect others, The Maker chose a darker path.
After deciding that his intelligence made him superior, this version of Reed abandoned his humanity altogether. The skin represents this darker take on Mister Fantastic, complete with the distinctive black containment suit that became his signature look. Even though The Maker was technically a villain, his origin as an alternate Reed Richards makes him one of the most fascinating versions of the character.
What makes The Maker particularly interesting is how he uses his stretching powers. In the Ultimate Universe (Earth 1610), Reed modified his abilities through extensive experimentation. He can stretch his brain to increase his cognitive abilities and transform his body in ways that the regular Mister Fantastic never attempted.
However, do remember that skins won’t change the gameplay of a character. Remember to check the in-game store as soon as Season 1 launches if you want to start your Marvel Rivals journey as this more calculating version of Reed Richards.
And while you’re there, you might want to take a look at Sue Storm’s Malice skin too – seems like the Fantastic Four are embracing their darker sides in Season 1.
