So you want to use voice chat in Marvel Rivals? It’s pretty handy since you’re playing with five other people on your team. Sure, you can use the ping system to point things out, but sometimes you just need to tell your team “hey, there’s three enemies coming from behind” or “I need help over here.” Voice chat makes all of that much easier. Let’s go through everything you need to know about getting voice chat set up and working the way you want it.

How to Turn On Voice Chat in Marvel Rivals?

The first thing you should know is that voice chat isn’t turned on when you first start playing. You’ll need to set it up yourself, but don’t worry – it’s pretty simple.

  1. Click the gear icon (settings) in the top right corner of the main menu
  2. Go to the Audio tab
  3. Find the Voice Chat section
  4. Turn the voice chat switch to On
  5. Pick either “Push to Talk” or “Open Mic” (more on this below)

You have two choices for how your mic works:

Push to Talk means you need to hold down a button to speak. It’s great if you want to control when others hear you, and it stops background noise from bothering your team. The game doesn’t set a button for this automatically, so you’ll need to pick one:

  1. Go to the Keyboard tab in settings
  2. Look for “Voice Chat” under Communication
  3. Click the box next to “Push to Talk”
  4. Press the key you want to use

Open Mic keeps your microphone on all the time. It’s easier to use but might pick up unwanted noise from your room.

How to Mute Players in Marvel Rivals

Sometimes you’ll want to mute other players. Maybe they have a lot of background noise, or they’re just being annoying. Here’s how to handle that:

  1. Press P during a game (this opens the player list)
  2. Find the person you want to mute
  3. Click the speaker icon next to their name

If you’re on a console, it’s a bit different:

  1. Press the Options/Menu button
  2. Go to Match Settings
  3. Find the player list
  4. Click the speaker icon next to the player’s name

How to Turn off Voice Chat in Marvel Rivals?

If you just want some quiet and want to turn off Voice chat in Marvel Rivals follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to Audio
  3. Find Voice Chat
  4. Switch it off

Remember, voice chat can make a big difference in winning matches, but it works best when everyone uses it responsibly. If someone’s being disruptive, don’t hesitate to use the mute button or report them – that’s what these features are there for.

If you run into issues with voice chat, especially during cross-play, you might want to use Discord as a backup until things get sorted out. The game is still new, so some features might need time to work perfectly.
