In Marvel Rivals’ support players have reached a unanimous decision about their biggest challenge – and it’s not enemy flankers or team coordination. It’s trying to heal Spider-Man.
The web-slinger has earned a reputation as the hardest hero to heal in Marvel Rivals, with players joking that he’s better at dodging healing abilities than enemy attacks.
Whenever you ask a support player whether it’s on Reddit, Discord, or in-game chat who is the hardest character to heal, the answer is always the same: “Probably a Spider-Man just web-swinging at 100mph 60 feet up.”
Support players face unique challenges with highly mobile heroes, but none quite match the frustration of trying to heal Spider-Man. While tanks like Hulk are reliable healing targets, Spider-Man players have mastered what the community calls “unintentional heal dodging” – constantly swinging and repositioning in ways that make healing nearly impossible.
Many Spider-Man mains have adapted to this reality, memorizing health pack locations instead of relying on healers. It’s become such a standard practice that experienced supports often direct Spider-Man players to nearby health packs rather than attempting to chase them with heals.
Iron Man players present their own category of healing headaches, creating what a Reddit user described as the “skybox syndrome.” These aerial heroes often hover far above the battlefield, apparently convinced that healing abilities extend indefinitely upward.
Support players have developed creative solutions to these challenges. Rocket’s bouncing heal orbs can reach awkward angles, while Luna Snow players often dedicate their snowflake to flying heroes as a “set it and forget it” solution.
Support players in Marvel Rivals have pretty much accepted that some heroes are just going to be harder to heal than others. While Spider-Man and flying heroes might give healers a constant headache, the community has found practical ways to deal with it.
Health packs exist for a reason, and sometimes the best strategy is the simplest one – if you’re playing a mobile hero, grab those health packs when you can, and if you do need healing from your support, try standing still for just a second.
