Call of the Hive is one of the 40 achievements in the Chronoverse Saga collection. Taking place on the Hydra Chateris Base map in the Eldritch Monument zone during Domination matches, this achievement tasks you with opening the Maveth portal. For Marvel fans, this is an exciting callback to the dead planet where the ancient Inhuman known as Alveus was exiled.

The key to unlocking this achievement lies in capturing and controlling the Eldritch Monument zone. When you look at the zone’s symbol, you’ll notice it bears a striking resemblance to Alveus’s face.

Here’s what you need to do: your team has to be the first one to capture the control point in the center. Once you do that, two things will happen. First, you’ll see a platform start to rise up. Second, and this is the interesting part, a portal will open up on the left side and some tentacles will start coming out of it.

Now, there’s been some back and forth in the community about whether you need the platform to transform or the portal to open to get the achievement. From what we’ve seen, what really matters is being on the team that captures the point first. That’s the key part you need to focus on.

For your team setup, you’ll want to have Punisher on your side. He’s really good at putting pressure on the enemy team right from the start, which is exactly what you need here. Doctor Strange and Magneto work well with him too.

If you’re playing and you don’t get the Eldritch Monument zone right away, don’t worry. The game uses random zones for each round, and you need to win 2 out of 3 rounds to win the match. This means you might have to play a few matches before you get the right zone. While you’re waiting, you can work on the Wide Open achievement in the Frozen Airfield zone – it’s pretty straightforward, just look for a marked barrier near where you spawn and break it.
