Fortnite Winterfest 2024 Wintervestigation Quests Walkthrough

If you’re playing Fortnite during Winterfest 2024, you’ll notice some new detective-themed quests called Wintervestigation have popped up in Chapter 6 Season 1. These quests are pretty straightforward – you’ll work with characters like Sgt Winter.

Winter and Noir to solve different cases around the map. Each part you complete gives you 25,000 XP, which adds up quickly for your Battle Pass progress. Let me walk you through exactly how to complete each quest and where to find everything you need.

All Wintervestigation Quests in Fortnite Winterfest 2024

First things first, the Wintervestigation starts with a basic Case Assignment where you’ll meet the main characters. After that, you get access to six different cases, but they don’t all unlock at once. Here’s what you’re looking at:

Case Assignment Objectives

Talk to Sgt. Winter About His Wintervestigation

To start the whole thing, you need to find Sgt. Winter near a plane crash site south of Foxy Floodgate. Just walk up and talk to him – he’ll explain what’s going on and get you started. This gets you your first 25,000 XP.

Talk to Noir on the Top Floor

Next up, head to Seaport City. Noir is inside a building right in the center. Go up to the top floor and have a chat with them. Another easy 25,000 XP in your pocket.

Case #17: The Unknown Traveler

Talk to Noir to Accept the First Case

Go back to Noir in Seaport City to pick up your first real case. Pretty simple – just another conversation for 25,000 XP.

Follow the Trail

This part gets more interesting. You need to head over to Crackshot’s Cabin and find three different things:

• There’s a Dogg statue south of the cabin – look for it near a wooden fence

• From there, go downhill to the south to find a microphone

• Then look east of the microphone to spot a DJ set Each clue you interact with brings you closer to solving the case and that 25,000 XP reward.

Question the Unknown Traveler

After finding all the clues, you’ll need to track down and talk to the mystery traveler which is Santa Dogg. This conversation helps piece together what’s really going on. Another 25,000 XP for your trouble.

Return to Noir with Your Findings

Head back to Noir one more time to wrap up the case. Tell them what you found out and collect your final 25,000 XP for this case.

Case #29: The Sporty Smuggler

Talk to Noir to get your next assignment

All you need to do is to go back to Seaport City and find Noir, he will be at the same spot so it shouldn’t be a trouble. He will give you a new case and you can track it through the quests tab. Accepting this quest alone will grant you 25,000 XP.

Investigate Tampered Basketball Equipment

For this part, you need to find three receipts hidden under different basketball hoops across the map. Here’s where to find each one:

First stop is Foxy Floodgate, right in the middle of the map. Look for a basketball hoop under the bridge on the east side of the POI – you’ll find your first receipt there.

Next, head to Hopeful Heights in the southeast corner. The basketball court is on the south side of this POI, and that’s where you’ll find your second receipt.

The last receipt is at Masked Meadows. Go to the east end where you’ll find another basketball court. This is also where you’ll meet Santa Shaq later, so you might want to save this location for last to save some time.

Go to the Address Listed on the Charity Receipt

For this quest, you will have to visit Santa Shaq in Masked Meadows and talk to him about the Wintervestigation. This will grant you 25,000 XP. We have marked the exact location of Santa Shaq in the above map.

Return to Noir With Your Findings

Just like in the last assignment, all you need to do is go back to Noir and start the dialogue with him and you will be rewarded with 25,000 XP for this case.

Case #31: The Cat Burglar

Talk to Noir to accept the next case

Just like previous quests all you got to do is go visit Noir in Seaport City and accept your next case.

Investigate Canyon Crossing, collecting info about the suspected cat burglar

After you accept the case you will have to go to Canyon Crossing and investigate three places that are marked below.

• Pastry on the floor by a table in a northern building
• Coffee cup in a cafe near the center
• Cooking pot in a kitchen on the southeastern corner

Confront the sick and twisted individual

After you have investigated every clue you will need to go visit the NPC Nyanja. Nyanja is in Canyon Crossing as well so it will save you some time! Once you spot Nyanja just interact with him.

Return to Noir with your findings

After you are done interacting with Nyanja, go back and visit Noir and interact with him and that will complete this case.

Case #45: The Half Baked Bun

Talk to Noir to Accept the Next Case

Just like with previous cases, head back to Noir in Seaport City to get your next assignment. This simple interaction will earn you 25,000 XP.

Investigate Twinkle Town

For this investigation, you’ll need to find three specific pieces of evidence around Twinkle Town:

• Look for boxes of flour on the kitchen floor in a northwest building
• Find some suspicious cans in a central building (head downstairs from where you found the flour)
• Search for juice packs in a building at the southeast corner of the POI

Each piece of evidence you discover brings you closer to solving the case and earning that 25,000 XP reward.

Confront the Suspect Directly

After gathering all the evidence, you’ll need to find Doughberman near the southern entrance of Twinkle Town. But there’s a catch – he’s surrounded by Demon Grunts! Help him defeat these enemies first, then have a chat with him about the investigation. This confrontation will earn you another 25,000 XP.

Return to Noir with Your Findings

Head back to Noir one final time to report what you’ve discovered about the case. This completes the investigation and rewards you with a final 25,000 XP.

Case #50: The Suburban Saboteur

Talk to Noir to Accept the Next Case

As always, start by visiting Noir in Seaport City to receive your new assignment. This initial conversation rewards you with 25,000 XP.

Investigate Hopeful Heights

Your investigation takes you to Hopeful Heights, where you’ll need to collect information about the mysterious Suburban Saboteur. Search the area thoroughly for clues about the vandalism taking place in this usually peaceful neighborhood. Successfully gathering this information will earn you 25,000 XP.

Visit the Graffiti’d Home and Talk to Hope

Make your way to the southern building in Hopeful Heights. You’ll find Shadow Blade Hope on the third floor, ready to discuss the vandalism situation. This conversation will help piece together what’s really going on and reward you with 25,000 XP.

Return to Noir with Your Findings

Just like with every case, wrap things up by reporting back to Noir in Seaport City. Share what you’ve learned about the Suburban Saboteur to complete the case and claim your final 25,000 XP reward.
