Looking into the recent Feybreak update in Palworld, you might have noticed a new dark horse galloping through the night. Starryon, number 129 in the Paldeck, brings some interesting features to the table.
Unlike other mounts, this Dark-type Pal actually prefers the cover of darkness, which makes it perfect for nighttime exploration. Let’s break down everything about catching and using Starryon in Palworld.
Getting to know Starryon starts with understanding its capabilities. This Pal comes with balanced combat stats that make it reliable for both fighting and base activities. At level 60, you’re looking at a Pal that can take hits and dish out decent damage, with HP reaching up to 5,090 when fully optimized.

There are three main ways to get your hands on Starryon:
Taking down Starryon requires some preparation, especially when facing the Alpha variant but honestly, it is not the hardest Pal to defeat. Since it’s a Dark-type Pal, bringing Dragon-type Pals gives you a significant advantage. A high-level Dragon Type Pal should do the job quite easily and you won’t have to go through a lot of trouble.
The best approach is to keep some distance and use ranged attacks when possible. If you’re fighting the Alpha variant, make sure to stock up on healing items since it can hit pretty hard with its level 57 stats.
Starryon learns several powerful moves as it levels up. It starts with Bog Blast at level 1 and eventually learns its exclusive skill, Lethal Step, at level 50.
When captured, Starryon drops Dark Fragments and Leather, making it a useful source of these crafting materials. Its Gathering Level 2 work suitability means it can help with harvesting crops at your base, though it’s not the most efficient Pal for this task.
