Let me walk you through everything about Marvel Rivals’ battle pass system and break down exactly what you get on each page. The game’s Season 0 runs from December 6, 2024, to January 9, 2025, giving you about 5 weeks to collect your rewards.

How Much Does Marvel Rivals Battle Pass Season 0 Cost?

The current Luxury Battle Pass costs 490 Lattice, which is about $5. It’s a special introductory price since this is the game’s launch season – future battle passes will cost twice as much at $10.

Here’s how the currency system works in the game. Lattice is the premium currency you buy with real money. The basic conversion rate is simple:

  • $1 = 100 Lattice
  • $5 = 490 Lattice (Battle Pass cost)

As you can see, buying larger amounts of Lattice gives you better value. For instance, if you spend $99.99, you’re getting an extra 1,680 Lattice compared to buying in $1 increments. Of course, you don’t need to spend that much – the battle pass only needs 490 Lattice.

The game has two other currencies you should know about. Units are the blue currency you can earn by playing or by converting Lattice at a 1:1 rate. Then there’s Chrono Tokens, which you need to actually unlock battle pass rewards.

Remember, while the battle pass costs money, all heroes, maps, and game modes are completely free. The pass only gives you cosmetic items like skins and emotes.

How Does the Marvel Rivals Battle Pass Work?

Let’s break down Marvel Rivals’ battle pass system. When you log in, you’ll see two different tracks of rewards – a free path everyone gets, and a premium “Luxury” path that unlocks if you buy the battle pass for 490 Lattice ($5).

Getting rewards from either track requires Chrono Tokens, and here’s how they work. You get these tokens by playing the game and completing tasks. You can then use those tokens to unlock rewards – most cosmetics cost 200 tokens, while character skins need 400.

The really good part? This battle pass doesn’t expire like in other games. After Season 0 ends on January 9, you can still keep unlocking the rewards at your own pace. No need to rush or grind if you don’t want to.

Is Marvel Rivals Battle Pass Season 0 Worth Getting?

For $5, you’re getting about 8,000 Units worth of stuff, which is pretty good value compared to buying items separately. Plus, since this is the cheapest battle pass we’ll see (future ones will be $10), it’s a good time to try it out if you’re interested.

Remember that all the actual gameplay stuff – every hero, map, and game mode – is completely free. The battle pass is just for making your characters look cooler. Another nice touch is that you can start with the free track and upgrade to the Luxury Pass later if you want – you’ll get all the premium rewards retroactively.

The nice thing about Marvel Rivals’ approach is that there’s no pressure to finish everything quickly. You can take your time and still get everything you paid for, even if it takes you a few seasons to complete it all.
