How to Buy a Home in Lego Fortnite Brick Life
Let’s start with the basics – everyone needs a place to call home in Brick Bay, and getting one is actually as simple as changing the outfit in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life. The game gives you two starter homes right off the bat: the Simple Shack and the Classy Craftsman. While the Simple Shack is pretty basic, the Classy Craftsman offers a bit more style and space for new players.
How to Place a House in Lego Fortnite Brick Life
The first thing you’ll want to do is open your map and look for those little blue house icons scattered around the city. These icons represent vacant lots where you can build your home. I’ve found that the southern and eastern regions of Brick Bay have the most options for traditional houses, while the city center is where you’ll find apartment buildings if that’s more your style.
When you find a spot you like, just walk up to the red sign in front of it and interact with it. The game will then let you choose which house style you want to place there. Once you claim a spot, you’ll notice the icon on your map turns pink – that’s how you know it’s yours!
After claiming your lot, you can access your phone’s Home app to see all available house styles. While you start with those two basic options I mentioned earlier, you can unlock more styles by either:
- Earning money and purchasing them from the Home Shop
- Playing through the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey game mode
- Progressing through the LEGO Pass
One important thing I discovered is that you can only have one house at a time. If you try to claim a new lot, your old house will disappear, and that spot becomes available for other players.
How to Get an Apartment or Penthouse in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life
The process of getting an apartment or penthouse in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life is quite similar to getting a home. Follow the steps below:
- Open your map and look for buildings with a “vacant home” blue icon.
- Mark this building and navigate towards it.
- Once you reach the building use the elevator to choose the floor you want to go to and in this case, the floor you want to buy your house in.
- After reaching the floor interact with the red marker that says “claim plot”.
- That’s all you need to do – and if you want to buy a Penthouse just go to the topmost floor of that building.
