Monarch Supply Drops are special airdrops in Fortnite that look distinctly different from regular supply drops. These drops feature a black-and-white coloring, making them easy to spot from the air.
When Kong appears through a rift at the start of a match, multiple Monarch Supply Drops scatter across the map, creating valuable opportunities for high-tier loot.
In this guide, you will discover everything about Monarch Supply Drops in Fortnite, from their locations to the valuable loot they contain.
Monarch Supply Drops spawn in two main scenarios during matches. First, when Kong makes his appearance through a rift at the start of a match, five Monarch Supply Drops will spawn close to his location. You will spot red dots dropping from the sky – that’s it! They are the Monarch Supply but once you drop from Battle Bus you will be able to see them clearly with their parachute.
Second, during battles with Godzilla, additional Monarch Supply Drops will appear in the surrounding area, giving players more chances to acquire powerful weapons. These drops are clearly marked on your map with special icons, making them easy to track down.
The drops descend slowly with a parachute, similar to regular supply drops, and land on the ground. Once a Monarch Supply Drop touches down, any player can approach it and press the interaction button to open it. The drops remain available until someone claims them, but be cautious as other players will likely be pursuing the same targets.
When opening a Monarch Supply Drop, players receive a selection of high-tier items. Each drop contains rare guns, including the possibility of getting legendary weapons and rail guns. Additionally, players will find two Shield Bubbles per drop.
Currently, searching Monarch Supply Drops is part of the Hope Godzilla questline, rewarding players with 25,000 XP upon completion. This makes finding and opening these drops even more worthwhile for Battle Pass progression.
The earlier drops that spawn with Kong’s appearance offer the best chance of opening these chests since players are still spreading out across the map.
