Week 8 of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 has arrived with a new set of quests for players to tackle. This time around, you’ll be working with Sprites, mastering the Typhoon Blade, and showing off your accuracy skills.
After spending some time with these challenges, I can tell you that while some might need a few attempts, they’re all quite manageable once you know the right approach.
This week’s challenges focus on combat and the new Sprite mechanics introduced in Chapter 6. Here’s what you’ll need to complete:
Getting hits with the Typhoon Blade while staying untouched might seem hard at first, but it’s quite manageable. You can find the blade at dedicated stands across the map or get lucky with chest spawns. The key is to use the blade’s movement abilities to your advantage – use Wind Leap to approach unexpectedly and Air Dash to quickly retreat after landing your hits.
Water Sprites make this healing challenge straightforward. Look for the tall white beams of light marking Sprite Shrines – these will reveal nearby Water Sprites as blue markers on your screen. Each sprite creates a healing fountain that instantly gives you 30 health or shield and continues healing over time. Don’t wait until you’re critically damaged to use them; even minor healing counts toward your goal of 200.
For this challenge, positioning is everything. High-ground locations and Air Sprites will be your best friends here. Focus on finding a good vantage point and watching for players who are distracted – maybe they’re farming materials or looting. Rifles or Rail Guns work best for these long-range headshots.
Canyon Crossing has plenty of containers to work with, making this a straightforward location-based challenge. Focus on hitting all types of containers – chests, ammo boxes, and elemental chests all count toward your goal.
The key is landing here early in the match when everything is still untouched. If it’s too hot on landing, consider dropping nearby and rotating in once the initial rush has passed. We have marked the location of Canyon Crossing in the image above so that you can get there easily!
This movement challenge requires quick thinking and good preparation. Keep mobility items ready – Air Sprites and Kinetic Blades are perfect for this. When you take damage, you have 15 seconds to cover the distance. The Typhoon Blade’s movement abilities can help here too, combining Wind Leap and Air Dash to quickly cover ground.
Remember that you don’t need to complete all these quests in a single match. Take your time with each challenge, and you’ll find yourself making steady progress through the week.
